Would you like to become an FOR nonviolence facilitator?

We are working hard to make Nonviolence Basic Training available to groups across the country, but we need more trained facilitators, outside the Northeast U.S.. Facilitators must be:

  • talented in small group facilitation
  • committed to nonviolence as a way of life
  • have a passion for justice, peace and reconciliation
  • want to facilitate Nonviolence Basic Training for at least two groups per year
  • interested in co-facilitating with another trained FOR facilitator
  • willing to work with the FOR nonviolence curriculum
  • willing to attend a 3 ½ day facilitator training at their own expense and
  • willing to purchase and become familiar with the materials prior to training

In return FOR will provide:

  • Facilitator Training
  • referrals of groups near you interested in Basic Training
  • ongoing program development and new resources that become available
  • nationwide publicity for upcoming training
  • support networks with other facilitators in your area and across the country
  • advocacy with organizers to ensure that you have a positive experience facilitating Nonviolence Basic Training

If this sounds right for you, please take some time to look over the FOR Facilitator Agreement and the Organizer-Facilitator Agreement. Then, look at the facilitator training schedule below to find a convenient date and place to attend Facilitator Training and fill out an application (download as PDF).
